# When your organization is suspended

> From FilmScorecard Help: https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/when-your-organization-is-suspended

FilmScorecard can suspend an organization. While it is suspended, nobody who
works there can open its screens, its judges cannot work on its festivals, and
nothing new can be bought from its scorecards. **Nothing is deleted**, and
everything comes back as it was when the suspension is lifted.

This page is for the people who help run a suspended organization: what you
see, where logging in takes you, what your judges and filmmakers meet in the
meantime, and what happens when it ends.

**This is not the same as one person being suspended.** An owner or org admin
can suspend a single member from [Organization settings](https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/organization-settings.md);
that person then simply gets "page not found". A suspended *organization* is
closed to everybody who works there, owners included, and only FilmScorecard
can suspend or reinstate it.

## What you see

Every address inside the organization — `/org/<organization>` and everything
under it — opens the same page, with one sentence on it and a **Sign out**
button:

> This organization is suspended. Contact support@filmscorecard.com to resolve
> it.

- **Owners, org admins and members all get it.** Whatever your role was, it is
  the same page.
- **It gives no reason.** The reason is kept on FilmScorecard's side.
- **Nothing else is on the page** — no navigation and no account menu. **Sign
out** is there so you can leave, or log in as a different account.
- **Nothing was emailed.** Nobody at your organization is told when a
suspension starts or ends; this page is how you find out.
- **Only somebody who belongs to the organization sees it.** Anyone else who
opens the address gets the same "page not found" as before, so it tells a
  stranger nothing.

## Logging in, and your account menu

- **If you also belong to an organization that is not suspended**, logging in
takes you there, exactly as it always has. See
  [Which organization you land in](https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/working-in-two-organizations.md#which-organization-you-land-in).
- **If every organization you belong to is suspended**, logging in lands you
  on the notice.
- **The suspended organization leaves the Organizations group** in your
account menu. If that leaves you with one organization, the group
  disappears. See [Your account menu](https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/your-account-menu.md#switching-organizations).

## What everybody else meets meanwhile

| Who | What they meet |
| --- | --- |
| **Your judges** | Each of your festivals reads "This festival is unavailable." on their judging screens, with no films and nothing to score. They are not told why. Work they already filed is kept exactly as it was. |
| **Judges who applied to your open calls** | Your calls leave the open-calls board. Nobody can apply, or answer a counter you sent. The applications themselves are kept. |
| **People you invited** | Accepting a judging invitation or an invitation to your organization is refused with "This invitation is unavailable." The invitation is not used up, but its deadline keeps running. |
| **Your judges' messages** | Nobody on either side can write. Conversations stay as they were. |
| **Filmmakers** | They can still read their scorecards, correct their submission pages and press kits, and ask for a new access code. They cannot buy: a priced scorecard shows "This festival is not set up to accept payments yet. Check back soon." in place of the button. |
| **Anyone on a public film page** | Nothing changes. Your festival's tile stays on every film's page. |

What your judges meet is described from their side in
[When a festival is unavailable](https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/when-a-festival-is-unavailable.md).

**Money already moving still lands.** A filmmaker who was already paying on
Stripe when the suspension started still gets their scorecard and their
receipt, and your share is paid as usual. Refunds still go through.

## What waits until it is lifted

- **Scheduled scorecard releases.** The emails that tell filmmakers their
scorecards are released, and the releases on a season set to **As each
submission is approved**, do not go out.
- **The first email to each new filmmaker** — the link to their submission
page, on a season set to email each one as their film arrives — does not go
  out either. See
  [How filmmakers hear from you](https://www.filmscorecard.com/help/season-overview.md#how-filmmakers-hear-from-you).

Whatever falls due while you are suspended goes out on the first run after the
suspension is lifted. **Emails that were already on their way when it started
still go.**

## When it is lifted

Everything comes back at once, as it was: your screens, your judges' festivals,
your open calls that are still open, your invitations that have not expired,
and buying. **Nothing is emailed** — the screens simply work again.

**A film a judge had started is not held for them in the meantime.** The usual
48-hour hold keeps running, so a film nobody finished may be back in the queue.
